Q: How do I enroll in a Career and Technical Center (CTC) or Agricultural Science Center (ASC) classes?

A: All students will register at their assigned campus, following the District Registration Process, then they will request the elective classes they desire (including all CTC and ASC courses) with their school counselor. (Some CTC and ASC classes may not be available due to a course being at maximum seat capacity.)

Q: What are the hours/bell schedule of the Career and Technical Center or Agricultural Science Center and how do they correspond to the home campus’ bell schedule?

Q: Is there transportation available for students to and from the Career and Technical Center and Agricultural Science Center?

A: Yes, buses are available to/from all six high schools to/from both the Career Technical Center and Agricultural Science Center. ***HUB stops after 4th and 10th period are still being worked on, but at this time not available. After 5th & 11th period classes the only transportation available will be back to the home campus. Students may be picked up from the CTC or their home campus.

Q: What services will the Career and Technical Center or Agricultural Science Center offer to the public?

A: Various services will be offered from many of our Career Pathways during the 2017-2018 school year.

Q: Can students meet their required graduation endorsements (per HouseBill 5) through classes at the Career and Technical Center or Agricultural Science Center?

A: Absolutely! Courses from both the Career and Technical and Agricultural Science Centers will meet one or more of the following endorsement areas: Business & Industry, Public Service, STEM, and Multidisciplinary. (Specific information can be found in the AISD Accelerate Magazine)

Q: What industry certifications are available for students who take classes at the Career and Technical Center or Agricultural Science Center?

A: Arlington ISD offers 32 industry certification exams and covers 100% of the costs.

Q: Where can I find information about requirements for a student accepted into Cosmetology I?

A:  Cosmetology instructors sent out a letter to students during the Summer explaining requirements.

Q: Where can I find information about fees, types of animals allowed, and the Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter details?

A:  Most information needed regarding this topic can be found on the AISD FFA website.
