budget and Cash managEment
The Budget and Cash Management Department consists of three employees: a Director, Treasurer, and one paraprofessional. The District's fiscal year is changing to July 1 through June 30. Fiscal Year 2012 is the transition year so the year begins September 1 and ends June 30. The department is responsible for the coordination and development of the annual budget process and maintaining budget control during the year. Related to Cash Management, the department follows a Board-approved investment policy and primarily invests in government securities and approved local government investment pools. Also, the department reviews travel request forms and assures the compliance of District travel policy and guidelines.
