The legal office provides direct, full-time legal counsel and representation
for the superintendent, administrative staff, and the Board of Trustees
regarding school district matters. The attorney is responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts; updating local policies pursuant to current legislation; providing legal advice on student, employee, and Board matters; and defending lawsuits and complaints. In addition, the attorney coordinates investigations
conducted by the Office of Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission
and other administrative agencies. |
