                        THE NEW CHALKBOARD

AISD is a leading influence in distance learning programs and activities in the North Texas area. All 6 high schools and 12 junior highs have dedicated classrooms, and the high schools are currently engaged in concurrent class offerings. Integrating project based strategies to interact with remote experts, AISD teachers and   students participate in virtual field trips and collaboratations with other schools for team   teaching and projects. Administration and faculty utilize distance learning for staff   development and peer collaborations.

  High school students 'visit' Soutwestern Medical School for research on careers.  

AISD junior high schools integrate video conferencing and project based strategies to interact with remote experts, particpate in virtual field trips and collaborate with  other schools.

In addition to students, faculty members utilize distance learning for staff development within and outside AISD and peer collaborations.
