Ellis Elementary welcomes students from many countries. The diversity those students bring to Ellis adds a wealth of information and experiences to all of our students. Ellis has an English as a Second Language program on campus. We have thirteen self-contained ESL teachers in grades Pre-Kindergarten through Fourth Grades and one Pull-out teacher to meet the needs of our second language learners. These teachers have been trained as regular classroom teachers with added skills and techniques to help our students acquire a new language. ESL students learn English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills to help them be successful learners in our schools and country.
