Mary Eldredge Librarian

I LOVE being the librarian at Kooken! I wanted to be one since I was PreK age! Over the years, I’ve been a special education teacher for PPCD & ISPD at Kooken and a Student Support Interventionist for Kooken & the PreK Community Based Centers. Next door to the library is our makerspace which is a place the students can tinker, make, create, explore, invent and learn. It’s an extension of our library that helps the students stretch and build higher thinking skills.

Growing up, I lived all over the United States – in Iowa, California, Texas, Connecticut and Utah. I’m married to my high school sweetheart and we have three children – two who have already left the nest!  One is at college in Utah, one is serving a mission in Colombia and my youngest is at Arlington High! I love to read (of course!), do research, play the piano,  take road trips, do family history, go for drives, hang out with my family and husband.

My job makes me so happy because I really LOVE reading to our students and helping them discover how fun and exciting books & learning can be!
