Concepts of Health Care (CT1280)
Concepts of Health Care is designed for the student who is interested in health-related careers. It provides students with a variety of concepts including terminology, medical and legal ethics, human anatomy and physiology, CPR and First Aid. The course discusses health care as an industry and integral part of the economy. It is a prerequisite for Health Science Clinical, Health Science Co-op and Pharmacology.

Preparation for Pharmacy Technician (CT1282)
Pharmacology is a professional, college-level course providing students with knowledge and skills in the classification and study of prescription and nonprescription pharmacological agents to understand the treatment, care, and restoration of the patient’s health. Course content will emphasize drug classifications, drug action, drug administration, ethical and legal issues, safety and the impact of pharmaceutics on the health care industry. Pharmacy technician skills will be acquired in order to prepare students for the National Pharmacy Technician exam.
