I started my work in education on the border between Mexico and Texas in the Eagle Pass school district where I taught 8th grade Language Arts for two years. I then moved to the DFW area and taught English I – IV at Lancaster High School for eight years. While working in Lancaster, I returned to school and earned my certification in School Counseling and worked at the same school as a counselor for seven more years. At that time I had an opportunity to go to Georgia and be a counselor in one of the largest districts in the country for four years. I returned to Texas two years ago and took a position with the Grand Prairie school district at Grand Prairie High. I am very excited to now be a part of the counseling staff here at Lamar High School.
