
Computer Science courses prepare students to effectively compete in a global market place where computer skills are essential. Students will be expected to have basic skills and an understanding of the concepts in web design/creation and multimedia products in higher education or the market place. Computer Science courses will also help students to develop problem solving skills as they create logical programming sequences.
The Computer Science Department offers a wide variety of subjects matter from Web Mastering and Multimedia Productions to Java programming. Computer Science (Java) courses focus on object oriented programming methodology, data types, data structures, algroithms and applications to these concepts. Web Mastering courses give students the opportunity to design, publish and maintain web sites. Multimedia Productions courses give students hands-on experiences working with a variety of multimedia tools (sounds, images, graphics, and video) to build multimedia projects for presentation to appropriate audiences.
