Melinda Reeves
![]() Mrs. Melinda Reeves is the principal of Martin High School. She had previously served as the principal of Decatur High School. Her career so far includes principal at Decatur High School and assistant principal at an elementary and junior high school. She also taught kindergarten, first grade and fourth grade in Arlington ISD. While principal at Decatur High School, it was named National Blue Ribbon school in 2001, recognized as an Exemplary Campus by TEA between 1999 and 2003 and was designeated by TEA as a Mentor School and Pathfinder School. Mrs. Reeves accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. She was named Outstanding Secondary Principal of the Year for 2003-2004 by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals and was a Top 3 National Finalist in 2005 for Outstanding Principal of the year by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. Mrs. Reeves is a graduate of Nimitz High School in Irving. She attended Texas Christian University, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She later obtained her Master of Arts in Education from TCU. Mrs. Reeves' first priority is serving the students of Martin High School. She enjoys go to extra curricular activities and is frequently seen walking the hallways of Martin High School. |
