This site is pretty much a full online tutorial on script writing. This site explains every aspect of writing from developing your idea to putting it on paper and formatting it the way you want it. This site gets very detailed in script writing. Great resource.
Now that we have some new guidelines here is the page to see all of the MPAA ratings and what they qualify as. This page describes all ratings from G to NC-17. Check it out to be clear on what each rating is.
The Eejit's Guide to Filmmaking covers a lot of stuff from Pre-Production to Post-Production. They give tips for writing, different ideas for production. Keep in mind though this site hasn't been updated for a few years so some of the sections may be outdated. I know the Post-Production section is outdated because it still refers to putting movies on VHS, which not many people do that anymore.
The Internet Movie Database is the site for finding movies. On this site each movie has a synopsis, cast list, reviews, quotes, pictures, and more from the movie. It's also the largest movie database around. If the movie can't be found here then it probably never made any money.
Videomaker is a film magazine that contains equipment reviews all ranging from cameras to lights. They also have many articles on various types of filmmaking like basic camera techniques, visual effects, editing, sound, and more. The online site has alot of those articles plus is has the winning short films streaming on their site from their Annual Short Film Contest. Excellent magazine for many reasons.
