Congrats to the Percussion Department on a great "Percussion Bash". All the groups played well. Ignacio Berroa was "unbelievable". Special thanks to Ms. Burns for her work and organization on the program. It was a smooth and enjoyable evening. Also a big "Thanks" to Dustin Schulze for all his time helping prepare the ensembles and individuals. |

"Gordon, I just wanted to write and tell you how impressed I was with your
whole program this past week in Richmond. The groups were very fine, but
the thing that was so impressive was the composure of your groups under all
the circumstances of your trip. Also, watching your students who were
sitting in the audience was a true telling of how fine your program is from
top to bottom. I am not familiar with your high school as I have be gone
for several years form Texas. (I went to NTSU for my Masters 68-70 and
taught at Strickland Jr. High in Denton 70-74.)
Congrats on a great program!"

"JOB WELL DONE!! Thanks to the directors, students and volunteers for all their efforts to make Martin Band’s first trip to a BOA Super Regional competition a valuable learning experience. The director’s put together a well organized trip despite tough scheduling. The students performed very well despite not being rested and never having marched their show in a dome before! Finally, a great big thank you goes out to a dedicated group of volunteers who kept everyone well fed and hydrated. Even the local San Antonio newspaper was impressed with the effort made by all! "
