At McNutt Elementary we are committed to excellence in education by inspiring students to become leaders, life-long learners, innovators, and community role models through a caring, safe, and high-quality learning environment that maximizes student’s talents, skills, abilities, and knowledge.

VISION

McNutt Elementary will be recognized as a 21st Century school that promotes meaningful learning experiences passionately serving and engaging the community and also pursuing learners' successes by empowering each student to achieve their highest potential.

History

Sandy McNutt worked as a teacher, assistant principal and principal in the AISD for 29 years. She started as a teacher at Ditto Elementary from 1978 to 1987. McNutt became an assistant principal at Starrett Elementary in 1987, and, in 1990, she was an assistant principal at Moore Elementary when the school opened. McNutt was the principal at Wood Elementary from 1992 to December 2007.

Sandy McNutt Elementary opened in the fall of 2016.
