3	Four Advanced Measures ①② Original research/project ①②③④ A score of three or above on an AP Examination ① A score on the PSAT that qualifies for the designated recognition ①②③④ A grade of 3.0 or higher on courses that count for college credit
4	PSAT Recognition A score that qualifies for recognition as: A Commended Scholar or higher by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation; As part of the National Hispanic Scholar Program of the College Board, or As part of the National Achievement Scholarship Program for Outstanding Negro Students of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation
5	Why would I want to follow this plan? Special recognition at graduation Distinguished Achievement Medal Recognition in the graduation program Appears on your official transcript Acknowledged by colleges and universities
6	What do I need to do? Develop a strategy for completing the requirements of the program Complete a “Declaration of Intent to Pursue Distinguished Achievement Plan” form Have your parents sign the form Return the form to your counselor Select the necessary courses to satisfy the requirements of the plan
