In an effort to help make the TEAMS application process better, the Technology Support Department has been
given the responsibility of handling the help requests that come into the district for the TEAMS application process.
We have created this list of frequently asked questions and problems that we have seen happen so far.
We are working with Information Systems and Personnel to try to inform TEAMS users of how the web page
works and how to avoid problems that may occur as you navigate through the screens.

Screen Closes or Not Able to Log On
Are you attempting to complete your application during the hours of 6:30PM - 8:30PM Monday thru Thursday
or 5:30PM-8:00PM on Friday? Or could you be signed on before that time and still working after 6:30PM
(5:30PM on Friday)? The system is down every night during these hours.
Also, after a long period of inactivity the session will expire. You will need to close the window. You'll see
another window open stating to re-launch TEAMS, please click here.
Depending on the time of day you are applying, there may be high traffic on the system causing
it to run slowly. Your speed may also be related to your internet connection or your computer. Session Expired Error Message - Can't Log Back On
After about 30 minutes of inactivity the session will expire. You will need to close that window.
There will be another window that remains open. In the other window, there is a message '...to re-launch TEAMS,
please click here'. The link will display the login screen again.
I click on the 'Continue to Application' link and the screen is blank. What is the problem?
The pop-up blocker is enabled on your browser software. Depending on the browser,
you can click on "allow pop ups from the website" from the toolbar or you may have to access the
internet options under the Tools menu or thru Control Panel. In internet options, locate the Privacy tab and
select the Pop-Up Blocker settings. From the settings, you will allow pop-ups from the TEAMS website:
is-teams.aisd.net. You may have multiple pop-up blockers. Check the toolbar(s)
for all pop-up blocker settings and change the internet options in the control panel.
Depending on your tool bar, you may have another icon that is also a pop-up blocker.
It will not have the wording displayed next to it, but if you click on the drop down arrow or
drag your cursor across it the wording "pop-up blocker" should appear.
On some computers, the icon has a circle with a + sign in the center of it.
It is normally near the blank where you can type in information to do a search.
You will also need to set this pop-up blocker to allow pop-ups from the TEAMS website. Voluntary Transfer or Apply for Posted Position (Employee Only)
Please see the steps for ''Complete Voluntary Transfer App. or Apply for Posted Position (Employee Only)'' that is in the
documentation on the Employment page on the lower left side of the screen. It is located in the How To...section.
Click here to go to the page.
Job Transfer Error Message - No Job Selected
It appears that you are selecting the jobs and locations, but you are not scrolling to the
bottom of that screen and clicking OK. You would then see the jobs (not the locations) appear
back on the list of categories. You would click continue at the bottom of that screen and then
you would see the Job Selection screen again. There is a Preference button you should select
to select your preference priority for location or assignments. You can order your list on
that screen as well. You click return to go back and then click continue or save and continue to
proceed. There is documentation on the Employment page on the lower left side of the screen.
It is located in the How To...section.
Click here to go to the page.
Job Transfer or Posted Position Error Message - No Priority Selected
Log in and click save and continue through the screens until you get to the
Job Selection section. Click on the request line listed that you were attempting to submit.
Then, select the Preference Button on the screen. You need to select which preference is the priority.
Once you select assignment or location, you can order the selections up or down in the list.
You will click return to go back to the previous screen. Now click save and continue or continue on
each screen until the end. Now submit your application again. Do not skip over any section and go
directly to submit. The application checklist will not show you have completed those sections if you
don't click save and continue on each page. Even if you already added your info to that screen, you
still need to save and continue.
Click here to go to the page.
Operating Systems Less Than Mac OS X Receiving Error Message - Priority Not Set For This Application
You need to find another computer to process your application. According to the info you provided,
you are using a MAC with OS9 and Netscape. The district is not providing support to MAC users on OS9
operating system with problems relating to the online application. If you are going to use a district MAC,
it must be an OS X machine with web browser Firefox 1.5 or newer.
AISD employees on campus, your technology contact person can direct you
to a MAC or PC that can be used for application purposes on site.
Operating Systems Less Than TEAMS Computer Minimum Specifications
You need to find another computer to process your application. According to the info you provided,
you are not using the supported TEAMS computer minimum specifications and this could be causing you
problems.
All First Class users, if this is the first time that you have logged into TEAMS, you must use the word
APPLE in all upper case
letters as your initial password. After that, you can set your password to your email password that you
use on campus.
AISD Employee - Password will not work
Please use the "Forgot User ID" button to retrieve user ID and reset password.
AISD Employee - Update pages with work experience, teaching experience, etc.
Employees can not update the certification, education, license, skills, tests or work experience sections
of the application. If any of the information listed is incorrect or there is missing information,
you should scan and attach the appropriate documents to the application in the "Attachments" section.
The only information that Human Resources will be updating will be the certification, education history and tests.
Your work experience and skills should be listed on the resume required for you to attach to your application.
All attachments should be done in the "Attachments" section - there is no other place for you to do that.
AISD Employee - Not Registered - Error Message
Please make sure you are using the links located on the left side of the Employment screen.
There is a section entitled ''Apply'' and it contains all of the links for employee application types.
Also, if you do not know your user ID or password, select the
"Forgot User ID" button on the log in screen
once it appears. DO NOT USE
the "Forgot Password" button even if you just don't know your password.
Use the "Forgot User ID" for either resetting your password or retrieving your user ID.
AISD Employee - Unknown User - Error Message
Are you hitting the "Enter" key after you enter your User ID? If so,
DO NOT press "Enter".
Use the Tab key to proceed to the password field. Click OK to submit information.
Your keyboard "Enter" key is probably adding an additional character even though you can not see it.
Make sure that you are using the links located under the ''Apply'' section on the
Employment page to apply.
Attachments Sent Thru HR @ aisd.net Address
Attachments are not accepted through
HR @ aisd.net. This address is for assistance to TEAMS only.
Please refer to the original job posting notice to verify if there is any information in regards to
position accepting letter of interest and resume by email.
Attachment - TEA Certificate Gives Error Message - Too Large to be Attached
Did you follow the instructions provided on downloading your certificate from the SBEC website?
Or do you have a scan copy of one you received from the State Board? If your certificate is in color,
you should scan your document in black and white.
Some color copies cause the file to be too big.
TEAMS attachments may not be bigger than 1 megabyte.
External Applicant - Attaching Documents
If you are having problems attaching your documents, we would be happy to assist you.
As an external applicant, you can mail or drop your attachments to Human Resources Department
at the AISD Administration Bldg. located at 1203 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington, Texas 76013 and they can
attach them for you. If these documents are not received within fifteen (15) days of the original
application date, your application will be deleted from the system. A new application will then be
required. Please include the "Supplemental Documents Cover Page" (PDF document link found thru the
Online Application Instructions) and a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you want the documents returned;
otherwise, they will be discarded after scanning. External Applicant - Receiving Error Message on the Education History Page
Return to the Education section and check for a message that states a bachelor degree or
diploma is required for this position. In most cases, this occurs when an applicant lists colleges
but never states receiving a degree. All of our teaching positions require a bachelor's degree.
If the applicant has not graduated, they should be entering the expected date.
External Applicant - Receiving Error Message: No Extra Curricular Activity Sponsorship
It would appear that you skipped around on the online form by clicking on the NAV bar
on the left side of the screen. Please click 'Save and Continue' on each page of the
application. Even if you do not enter any information on the screen, you need to do this.
You need to see that each section of the application has a check mark beside it by
following this procedure. The system was designed this way to make sure no important
information would be missed. Start from the first page and 'Save and Continue'
all the way to the end and then submit the application.
You should not encounter any further problems.
External Registered Applicant - "I forgot my user name and password." Is there any way for you to help me with that?
1. Click on "Online Applications" under "Apply" on the left side of the page. External Registered Applicant - Receiving Error Message: Unknown User - Please Register with the District or User ID You Selected is Already in Use
This error message is due to a registered applicant using wrong login information.
You are an existing applicant with your basic information in the TEAMS application system. External Non Registered Applicant - Receiving Error Message: Unknown User Name, Already an Existing User Name or User Profile Not Found
Applicants only have 3 days to submit an application before the system deletes the information
after 6:30(or 5:30 on Friday) on the 3rd day. Non registered
applicants CAN NOT
reuse the same user ID they attempted to submit the original application.
If so, the user will receive an error message according to the Human Resource
link they are accessing. See links below: External Applicant - Receiving Error Message on Certification Page
All teaching positions require a certification to be listed on the application.
However, there is an option for those that do not have a certification to select.
This will fulfill the requirements for the page to show completed.
External Applicant - Receiving Error Message User Profile Already Exists
This error message relates to the user ID that has been entered not the social security number.
Please enter a different user ID when creating your application.
The user ID you are attempting to use have already been used.
External Applicant - Receiving Error Message SSN is already on file
The social security number you are using has an application already on file.
Please refer to the FAQ entitled "External Registered Applicant - Receiving Error Message: Unknown User"
for how to retrieve your user ID and password. If your answers to the security questions do not the
match our records, please contact the Human Resources Department immediately at 682-867-7290.
(Security
questions are last 4 digits of your Social Security #, your birthday and last name.)
Renewal Sub (Active) Can't Login
If you are an active substitute since 2005 that has applied for a permanent job via the online application,
you already have a user ID and password on the new system. The user ID used to apply for a permanent job
will be used to apply as a renewal substitute applicant.
If you do not remember your user ID or password, there is a link after clicking on ''Continue to Application'' underneath New Applicant and Registered
Applicant. The link states if you do not know your user ID and/or password click here.
Click here to see the page.
New Password Gives Error Message - Expired
There is no problem. The password you just created is now your old password and you need to select
another one. It has been more than 90 days since we created the initial password. Every 90 days,
you will have to create a new password for the online system. The system knows you had never signed
on and that you have not changed your password in over 90 days. After you enter another password,
program will display.
Return to Complete Application - Saved Information Not There
Did you click save and continue at the bottom of the screen and then sign off the application?
Did you happen to begin your application more than 3 days ago? The system automatically deletes
all incomplete applications on the evening of day 3. Were you entering your information before
6:30 PM and remained on the system after that time and clicked save and continue? The system goes
down every day at 6:30 PM or 6:00 PM on Friday until around 8:30 PM. If you were on the system before
that and attempted to save when the system went down, your information would not be saved.
Additional Questions Section - Advancing to next page gives error message
The length of time it is taking you to answer the questions is causing your
session to expire. Answer a couple of questions and then click the save and continue
at the bottom of the screen. Return to the "Additional Questions" by clicking
on the section name along the left side of the screen.
The answers you entered should still be present. You will now answer a couple
more questions and then save again. Also, attempting to copy and paste your
answers can cause your questions not to save.
TEAMS is allowing only 2 hours for the application to be completed before the
session will expire. At that point, applicant would re-launch TEAMS and
continue application.
If none of these answers above help you with your problem, please fill out a
online application help form and someone will respond to your question as soon as possible. |
