Welcome
Hello!

I am thrilled to be teaching Art here at Martin High School.  I've been teaching since 1997, ages 3rd through 12th grade.  I've taught a variety of subjects, but Art is my passion.  In addition, I've sponsored five student trips to Europe where we have a blast visiting museums, galleries, ancient ruins, fashionable shops, great restaurants and cafes.  I believe in the benefits of life experiences, and always encourage my students to take advantage of the great world-class museums right here in the metroplex.  My education includes a Bachelor of Arts from Abilene Christian University, graduate Education Certification program from Tarleton State Univ., and a Master of Arts in Humanities/Art History from the University of Texas at Arlington.  My goal is for all of my students to grow in their artistic knowledge and abilities, regardless of skills and experiences they may have going into my class.  The Art world is vast, and offers so many styles and mediums that there is something for everyone.
