In my thirty-second year of teaching, I still enjoy what I do----all of it. English is always a rewarding and challenging course where the students continually teach me as much as I attempt to teach them. In PreAP English I we study a wide variety of dense, challenging literature that ranges from seemingly simplistic poetry to the stylistic demanding Charles Dickens. Writing is a major component of the course that is used to exhibit the students' abilities to think at level that sometimes even surprises them. We round out the course with a reveiw of basic grammar skills and a focus on vocabulary through a set program.
The cheerleading is always an exciting and refreshing extra curriuclar activity. The squad consists of 20 juniors and seniors who cheer football, volleyball, and basketball. Tryouts are usually in late March. Contact me with questions about tryouts.
The joys of my life are my husband of many years and three German shorthaired pointers who all think they are lap dogs. I am accused of painting the interior of the house every two years---actually it is every five years.
