Welcome to the World of Ready Set Teach and Nutrition/Food Science!
      I teach one combined class of Ready Set Teach I & II ,which is double blocked during 6th & 7th periods.
      Ready Set Teach is an internship program for students interested in pursuing a career in the field of education.  It is a year long course which involves classroom instruction at Martin and field site experiences at the Martin feeder elementary and junior high schools. Students are accepted into the program based on grades (overall 80 average or above), attendance, teacher recommendations, a personal interview, and writing/reading sampling.  Students must have a driver's license and transportation, so students must be grade 11 or 12.  Application to the program, interviews, and the selection process is done in the spring of the previous year in which the student will be enrolled in the program.  Students who complete Ready Set Teach and meet specific criteria are awarded a Letter of Commitment from the Arlington ISD which guarantees the student a teaching job with AISD when he/she returns with a college degree.
