ADDITIONAL STAFF

Roark has two computer labs. Every classroom has at least two computers for students' use. Each teacher has a desktop computer and most of the teachers have a presentation cart that allows them to project lessons to a large screen. There are networked laser printers for each grade level plus a color laser printer on each hall to be used by the classrooms. The internet is available throughout the building. Each grade level has a digital camera for their grade level to use. Additional digital cameras and video cameras are available for teacher check out through the library.

OUR ROARK FAMILY

Lab A has 30 computers for student use and a presentation computer with a projector attached for teacher instruction. Two intel iMacs are connected to scanners. There are two laser printers in this lab. One is a color laser printer.

 

As the Campus Technology Manager, Mr. Pinkerton provides technical support by troubleshooting computer problems with software, hardware, and upgrades on all of the computers on our campus.

  

Lab B has 30 eMac (OS X) computers for student use and a presentation computer with a projector attached for teacher instruction. There are two laser printers in this lab. One is a color laser printer.

Ms. Barton, Second Grade teacher, and Mrs. Hofer, Third Grade teacher, are our Teacher Technology Trainers. They serve as an instructional resource for the teachers, planning and implementing training classes and demonstrating the use of technology in the classroom. They are the teachers' mentors in using the technology required not only in teaching the students, but in utilizing the grading system used by AISD.
