FACULTY

The Roark Library is a great place to read, learn and grow! Each class comes to the library once a week for a lesson and to check out books. All lessons are based on TEKS objectives with teacher input. The library has several programs for students to participate in including: Accelerated Reader, Battle of the Books, Texas Bluebonnet Award, Dr. Seuss's Birthday Celebration and Six Flags Six Hour Reading Club. We also have two Scholastic Book Fairs each year - one in the Fall Semester and one in the Spring Semester. Parents are welcome to check out books, use the computers and relax in our Roark Community Library open Thursdays 5:30-7:30.

ARrrrr!!

Accelerated Reader at Roark

Every 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grader can participate in AR. Students read books, take tests, and earn points that they can spend in our ARrr pirate chest. Each Six Weeks we have a High Point Crew that receives a book for each member of the class and a High Point Leader who receives a book and a WANTED poster for earning the most AR points of the entire school.
