FACULTY

Roark Elementary Pre-Kindergarten and PPCD programs provide a foundation that guides children academically, socially, and emotionally. Our curriculum is based on the Texas Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines.

Our goal is to deliver developmentally appropriate experiences for the learning needs of all children. We support effective teaching practices for child discovery through play, which leads to growth in children's intellectual and social development to ensure academic success. We provide a challenging but achievable curriculum which actively engage children in thinking, reasoning, and communicating with others.

We support learning in a broad range of skills for children who are English language learners, including children receiving instruction in their home language. The goal of the bilingual programs is to enable limited English proficient students to acquire the English language as well as mathematics, science, and social studies.

We also promote the involvement of families for better readiness of children for school.
