VOLUNTEERS

Every task performed is important, either directly or indirectly, to the educational process. The volunteer is a model for students of an interested and caring citizen providing worthwhile service.

What are the qualifications to be a volunteer? Volunteers need to have a positive attitude, interest and enthusiasm in working for the benefit of students and the ability to work cooperatively with school personnel.

What does a volunteer do? Volunteers at Roark have helped by reading to individual students and help with field trips and classroom parties. Roark's daily volunteers include Ms. Goodson who runs off copies, laminates and other various duties around Roark and Mrs. Beckett who volunteers in the Roark Library.
