Sixth Grade students made special announcements each morning during the month of February. These announcements highlighted the accomplishments and special contributions that have been made by African Americans past and present.

Roark's Blue & White Steppers preformed at the Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration held at Bowie High School in January. Our step team did an outstanding job this year and has been well known for outstanding preformances in the past.

Ms. Barton's Second Grade class created a living museum of famous African Americans in American History. Each students dressed and spoke as if they were that person to the visitors who came to the museum.
