SHHS Avid Program

AVID is a program that focuses on students "in the middle" who have the individual determination to pursue their college dreams. The goal of AVID is to provide support with an elective class that teaches organization, study skills, note-taking, and promotes a college bound culture. While encouraging students to take classes that provide advanced rigor, the AVID program offers additional support with college students who grant academic support through tutorials and emotional support through exemplifying positive role-models.
