The mission of the Sam Houston High School Science Department is to increase our students' knowledge base in science by focusing on the development of the whole child. In doing so we will:
1. Build positive relationships with SHHS Students.
2. Maintain on-going supports to SHHS students via Response to Intervention.
3. Continuously assess and evaluate the instructional needs of each SHHS student.
4. Involve ourselves in professional development to acquire current best practices and/or instructional models.

Increase overall TAKS performance and commended results to Recognized status.
