SENIOR ANNOUNCEMENT DELIVERY
April 3rd and 4th. During lunch, in the Auditorium foyer.
If you did not pick up your
announcements, contact Jostens at 817-461-6837.
Contact Jostens if you didn't order a cap and gown.
Any other problems should be addressed in the main office.

SENIOR HONORS AWARDS PRESENTATION
May 19 in the Auditorium

Caps and gowns and Graduation Tickets will be delivered on Wednesday, May 14th, in Gym A during ALL lunches. Bring your school I.D. with you to pick up your cap and gown.

IF YOU ARE IN DANGER OF FAILING AND MAY NOT GRADUATE,YOUR CAP AND GOWN WILL BE HELD!

IF YOU HAVE ANY OUTSTANDING FINES, YOUR CAP AND GOWN WILL BE HELD UNTIL ALL FINES HAVE BEEN CLEARED.

Each senior student will receive 8 free graduation tickets when they pick up their cap and gown.

Any remaining tickets will be sold on May TBA during all lunches, and at 3:00 PM in the auditorium foyer. Only senior students, not parents or friends, may purchase tickets. All purchased tickets will be $2.00.

If your cap and gown are held, you must wait until the hold is released in order to receive or purchase graduation tickets.

Free tickets and purchased tickets will not be in the same seating area.

NO ONE MAY ENTER THE GRADUATION CEREMONIES WITHOUT A TICKET!

Tickets will be by section, row, and seat number. Everyone must sit in his/her assigned seats.

IMPORTANT- IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY THAT CONFLICTS WITH THIS TIME, SEE Mrs. COBB PRIOR TO THE REHEARSAL DATE.

GRADUATION PICTURES AND VIDEO

PERSONAL PICTURES OF THE GRADUATES SHOULD BE TAKEN BEFORE ENTERING THE BUILDING.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE GRADUATION VIDEO AND INFORMATION ABOUT THE PICTURE TAKEN OF EACH GRADUATE RECEIVING HIS/HER DIPLOMA WILL BE AVAILABLE AT GRADUATION REHEARSAL.

NOKIA LIVE WILL NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO STAND IN THE AISLES OR IN FRONT OF THE STAGE TO TAKE PICTURES OR VIDEOS ONCE GRADUATION STARTS.

 

Graduation

Date: Saturday, June 7, 2008
Report Time: Graduates are to report no later than 2:45 PM for graduation.
(The Lamar High School graduation ceremony is at noon.)
Graduates will not be allowed to leave or visit family prior to the commencement ceremony.
Time: 4:00PM- Ceremony Begins
Place: NOKIA LIVE in Grand Prairie

PARKING: FREE PARKING

DRESS: The graduation ceremony is a formal occasion; therefore, certain traditions of dress are observed.

  1. Caps are worn flat on the head with the tassels draped over the left temple.
  2. No necklaces or flowers are to be worn, and purses are not carried.
  3. Robes should be neatly pressed.
  4. Gum, sunglasses, and cell phones will not be allowed.
  5. Dress attire will be checked prior to processional.

Women: Wear appropriate shoes with inconspicuous hosiery.
Wear dresses that are not longer than the robe.

Men: Wear dark, solid color ties (not string or bow ties), long dark
trousers, white shirts, dark colored shoes and dark socks.

Seniors who choose not to follow the dress code for graduation will endanger their opportunity
to participate in the commencement ceremony. If you have a question about dress code, see Mrs. Cobb.

Directions

From Arlington High School: Take Cooper St. north to I-30, take I-30 East to the Belt Line Road (Exit 34). Turn North (left) onto Belt Line Road. Turn East (right) onto Lone Star Pkwy. Turn right onto NextStage Dr. Nokia Live is on the right. Expect significant traffic delays on graduation day.
