This summer, several students from James Bowie High School participated in NASA’s High School Aerospace Scholar program in Houston. Seniors C. Robinson, J. Burton and N. Engberg all participated in various tours, interactive activities and lectures from scientists at NASA’s Johnson Space Center. They researched and demonstrated hypothetical launches, lunar expeditions, mars missions, and human exploration of the solar system with the help of NASA employees and resources. Their participation in this program required several weeks of homework, projects and exams before the end of school during the 2007-2008 year, as well as teacher recommendations and a nomination from a Texas congressman. Congratulations future Aerospace Scholars!
