Jeff Provence, Principal
Mr. Provence was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma. During his high school years in Stillwater, he participated in football, wrestling, and track. In addition, he was class president and a member of the National Honor Society.

Mr. Provence attended the University of Central Oklahoma where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Education. He received his Master of Education in Educational Administration at the University of Texas at Arlington.

He joined the Lamar staff in 1995 as a teacher and coach. He taught business classes and was also the credit recovery manager. In 2002 he became an assistant principal at Arlington High School. Four years later, in 2006, he became Lamar's principal.

As principal Mr. Provence enjoys helping the students. He likes the family atmosphere of the faculty and of the community. He wants to provide the best possible education for the students. He strives to instill respect in our student body and expects each of them to follow the rules. In relating to the faculty, Mr. Provence wants to let teachers teach in their own style and strongly supports them by providing the resources they need.

In his free time, Mr. Provence is an avid fan of the Dallas Stars and loves to cheer for them. Because of Mr. Provence's active participation in Lamar's events as a high school student, he supports all Lamar activities by attending many of the events and announcing results over the intercom daily.
