Kathy StanfieldAssistant Principal
Ms. Stanfield was born and raised in the River Oaks area of Fort Worth. In high school she played volleyball, ran track, and was a member of the choir.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in physical education with a minor in English. She received her Master of Education from the University of North Texas.

Ms. Stanfield taught one year at Temple High School, one year at Adams Middle School in Grand Prairie, and six years at South Grand Prairie High School before joining the Lamar faculty as a coach in 1984. She became one of Lamar's assistant principals ten years later.

In addition to working with student attendance and discipline, her duties as an assistant principal include managing the facility and overseeing the substitute teachers.

Ms. Stanfield enjoys her job and most of all loves being able to make a difference. Based on her experiences, she offers her opinions to benefit students.

Ms. Stanfield enjoys spending time with her three boys, hunting, and singing in her church choir. Using her experience in volleyball, she now runs a volleyball club team at Texas Advantage Volleyball.
