- Any senior that did not attend their row leader meeting on Tuesday must see Mrs. Baggett in Room 282B to get information for practice and for graduation. Remember, if you do not show up at practice TODAY, you will not be allowed to participate in graduation on Saturday, June 5, at 12:00 PM. Practice begins promptly at 3:45 PM tomorrow so get there no later than 3:30 in order to find your row. Leave early for practice and graduation since traffic will be heavy and parking spaces are limited.

Come to Room 160 this week to order your Kiss a Senior Goodbye packets. Each treat includes hershey's kisses finished off with your own personal message. The cost is only a dollar and will be delivered next Wednesday and Thursday. Be sure to find out their 2nd and/or 6th period class before purchasing.
- If you are a senior who will attend Texas A & M in the fall, how about $4,000 to help out with your expenses? Pick up a Ft. Worth/Tarrant County A & M Club Scholarship application from the counseling office! Deadline is May 31.

- Our Varsity Martin Warrior Baseball Team has WON the District Championship for 2010!!! Now it is time to start the Baseball playoffs. The MHS Varsity Warriors begin on Thursday with a best 2 out of 3 with the Richland Rebels. The first game is at Martin on Thursday at 7:30 pm. The second game will be at Richland on Friday at 7:30 pm. The 3rd game, if necessary, will be played at Richland, on Saturday, at 1 pm. The MHS Baseball Booster Club will be giving away Play off T-shirts to the FANS on Thursday around 6:00 at the Baseball Field. We want as many T-Shirts to be worn as possible for this game. They are RED this year and the Slogan is: "Straight to State"

- The girls' golf team competed in the district 4-5A golf tournament at Ft. Worth Meadowbrooke golf course on Wednesday and Thursday. The A team came away with a 3rd place finish and the B team placed 7th of 9 teams. Jordan Cannon was named 2nd team all district and Camry Tardy was named 1st team all district. Camry Tardy also shot her way to a Regional Medallist finish. She will advance to Lubbock to compete in the Region 1 golf tournament next Wednesday and Thursday. The rest of the members of the A team were Kathryn Y., Lizzie A., and Neill K. B team members were Amelia M., Devin L., Konnor L., Jayme P., and Elizabeth F. Medallists consisted of Alyssa M., Avery B., and Jamie G. The team and coaches really appreciate the support by the faculty and staff of Martin High.
- Seekers is on Tuesday, April 20. CTI is a traveling music group. They will be holding auditions for their summer traveling team Tuesday afternoon. Come and hear CTI and visit with them about amazing travel opportunities as well as being a part of a praise and worship music team.

- Seekers presents Senior Citizen Prom on Friday, April 16! Senior Citizen Prom will be held next Friday night - only one week away - at Horizon Bay Retirement on Woodside and Arkansas. This is a great evening of fun for the retired residents and MHS students. We'll begin decorating at 3:30, dinner will be at 5:00, and dancing from 6-7. Please join us as we have a great evening dining and dancing with the residents of Eden Terrace. We'll have a 50's theme so wear your poodle skirts and rolled up jeans and white t-shirts. Slick back your hair and let's show the old folks how to boogie! Please see Mrs. Clements in room 102 or Mrs. Craig in room 133 for details and to sign up. - Hey everyone...did you know that April is national poetry month? To celebrate, the Unleashed poetry club is holding its annual poetry contest. The Hidden Talents Poetry Contest shines a spotlight on a select number of talented poets right here at Martin High School. - Attention Seniors...Do you have 45 hours of school or community service separate from NHS and Key Club? You may be eligible for the MHS Senior Service Cord to be worn at Graduation. - Junior students who take the SAT on either May 1 or June 5 will not have to pay the regular registration fee. This gift comes from College Board and the Texas Education Agency. If you have already paid to take the test on these dates, you will automatically receive a refund from College Board. If you have not yet signed up to take the SAT on either May 1 or June 5, you should see your counselor for a voucher number. This number will allow you to take the test for free. See your counselor this week, March 30 through April 2.

- The Martin Players are proud to present a public performance of this year's UIL One Act Play on March 29 at 7:30 in the Auditorium. The play is The Shadow Box by Michael Cristofer, a Pulitzer Prize winning play exploring the stages of grief endured by terminally ill patients and their families. According to UIL regulations, the play is 40 minutes. A question/answer session including the cast will occur following the play. The play goes to District competition on Saturday, April 3 at Arlington High School. Playgoers should arrive at 2:30 because no one is admitted after the play begins due to UIL rules. Admission to the competition is free. Tickers to the public performance on Monday night will be sold for $5, sold only at the door. That's Monday, 7:30PM, Martin Auditorium for The Shadow Box.
