Marlene Roddy

Mrs. Marlene Roddy is the principal of Martin High School. She has been in education for 32 years, 17 years as a classroom teacher and 15 years as a building administrator. She previously taught six years at Martin and was an assistant principal at Boles Junior High for one and a half years before returning to Martin. Prior to becoming principal, she served fourteen years as an assistant principal at Martin.

Her hometown is Fort Worth, Texas, where she attended Arlington Heights High School. She completed her master's degree in education from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. Currently, she and her husband live in Arlington. Both of her children graduated from Martin. Her son, Brandon, presently resides in Houston, and her daughter, Rosie, resides in Austin. Her interests away from school include running, reading, gardening; and cooking when she has the time. They have two dogs, Emma and Hera.

Mrs. Roddy's first priority is serving the students of Martin High School. She enjoys going to extra curricular activities and is frequently seen walking the hallways of Martin High School.
