Ways that Parents Can Help Us Achieve the Campus Goals:
From the office of Principal Beverley McReynolds
1. Stay on top of your son's/daughter's academic performance.
2. Check each report card that is mailed home each six weeks and ask to see the progress report issued to students each six weeks. Sign up for In Touch and stay in touch with us. Monitor your child's grades, class work, and attendance. Check in with your son's/daughter's counselor when you have concerns.
3. Make sure that your son/daughter attends tutoring if he/she is struggling in a class.
4. Become actively involved in our school. Join PTSA and become familiar with our campus.
5. Encourage your son or daughter to get involved in extra-curricular activities.
6. Encourage your son or daughter to study and complete homework nightly.
7. The first class of the day starts at 7:35 am. Your son/daughter must be on our campus in enough time to get to class on time.
8. Attendance! Attendance is one of the most important factors when looking at the potential for your son/daughter to have a successful semester. Please make sure every effort is made for your son/daughter to achieve 100% attendance.
9. Contact the assistant principal if you become aware that your child is involved in conflict with another student. The assistant principal can intervene and help resolve the conflict.
10. Contact a teacher immediately after seeing grades below 80. 70 is the minimal passing grade in our District and grades below an 80 will be monitored.
11. Contact Ms. McReynolds at 682.867.8500 if you are having difficulty getting an issue concerning your son/daughter resolved.
