Swimming at Seguin High School is a two semester, double blocked sport. Meets start in October, and end with the State Championships in February. Tryouts are at the beginning of the school year. Every student must have a signed, notarized UIL physical form to try out. Previous competitive experience is helpful, but not required. Each student will be required to swim 100 yards, non stop, with a coordinated freestyle stroke.

Practices are held at TCC SE Campus. Advanced swimmers are double blocked 1st and 4th period and train in the mornings. Newer swimmers are double blocked 4th and 8th period and train in the afternoons. The morning swimmers transport themselves to the pool, and can take the bus back to school. The afternoon swimmers have busing to and from the pool. All eligable swimmers compete in all meets at a varsity level.
