JSHS Departments

The departments of JSHS have been broken into three categories for easy navigation. The first category TAKS Core contains the four traditional core classes of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

The second category Electives contains the seven elective departments of Athletics, Business, Career and Technical Education (CTE), Fine Arts, Foreign Language, Physical Education, and Technology Applications.

The third and final category Academic Support contains the departments that support the academic achievement and success of JSHS students. Departments in this category include English as a Second Language (ESL), the Cougar Learning Lab, the PLATO Credit Recovery Lab, the Special Education department, and the JSHS Cougar Library.
