2009 Summer School Information -- Grades 9-12
Students are required to bring their course approval form signed by their school counselor or principal and by the parent or guardian to Summer School Registration. Full payment of tuition is due at registration. Following are the dates and registration times for first and second summer sessions:

Tuition will be $110 per semester credit. Full payment of tuition is due at registration. Refunds will be issued only for courses not making. No out-of-district students will be enrolled. Student must be living with parent in Arlington.
Student Discipline: The AISD Student Code of Conduct and Dress Code policies apply to the summer school program, as well as the regular school year. A Level III or Level IV offense will result in a student's dismissal from the summer school program.
No refund is given for students who are withdrawn for discipline reasons.

JSHS PTSA Cougar Kick-Off Scheduled for Monday, August 31, 2009
Our
JSHS PTSA Cougar Kick-Off will be held on
Monday, August 31, 2009. Booths need to be ready by 6:00 pm, with the Pep Rally beginning at 7:30 pm. Times are still tentative, so we'll post updates as we get closer to the
event.
Each organization will be invited to sell their t-shirts and spirit items, as well as to publicize their organization. Each group is asked to sell one food item, run one game or one activity.
No raffles. We are inviting all feeder schools to this event, so keep that in mind when choosing your items. At this time, the booth part of this event will run from 6:00-7:15 pm.
PTSA is asking each organization to pay
$10 per booth, in order to cover advertising and promotional costs. If you organization is interested in participating, please turn in your $10 to
Lavonne Hill in the
Seguin Counselor's Office.

FBLA Wins National Award!
Juan Seguin High School Future Business Leaders of America Wall of Fame recipients in recognition of State Leadership Conference winners. Daynell E. is a National winner of the "Go Green Project." This year FBLA started a new contest called Go Green FBLA. Seguin's FBLA and Environmental Club worked together to complete all tasks that were required for the contest. Daynell E. was the driving force in both clubs and made sure that everyone did their jobs.
There are five regions in the US for FBLA. They selected one winner from each region. Seguin is proud to announce that we won this national award
for the Mountain/Plains Region. Daynell will be going to the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA, in late June to receive the award. Congratulations!
2009 Cougar Track Team Takes Some Gold!
We have a State Champion! Senior
Ashlee S. won the
Discus event (with a throw of 142' 5") at the State meet that took place in Austin, TX, on Friday, June 5, 2009.
Congrats also go out to
Jevin C., who placed 3rd in the
High Jump (6' 9").
This is an outstanding job by our Track team and their coaches. Congratulations!
