Voters Approve 2009 AISD Bond Package
Voters approved the $197.5 million bond election. Proceeds of the bond issue will be used by the AISD to purchase buses, fine arts instruments and uniforms, and technology hardware; to construct one new elementary in east Arlington and classroom additions at two east Arlington elementaries and Lamar High School; and to expand the cafeteria at Arlington High School. Bond proceeds will also be used for safety and security upgrades and facilities upgrades throughout the district.

Coming to a Campus Near You!

The U.S. Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), and the Tarrant County Minority Youth Business Retreat Advisory Board will sponsor its Ninth Annual Tarrant County Minority Youth Business Retreat (MYBR) for minority high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are interested in our free enterprise system. Our Theme? "Reach for the Stars." This will be a full-day retreat, which will include workshops, speakers, team competition, luncheon, and awards ceremony.
