Solo and Ensemble Information
If you are interested in competing with a solo or ensemble, you will need to consider the following:
This is an extra time and financial commitment.
You must schedule regular weekly practices outside of Starline practice to work on your dance on your own.
You will be required to show Mrs. Gaither your dance at regular intervals for her to review your progress.
You will need to plan for a costume for your solo or ensemble. You may either do this on your own or you may order one through a designated catalog with Mrs. Gaither. These can cost sometimes between $30-$80.
You will need to pay an additional competition fee for your solo or ensemble. The costs for this are:
Showtime International Competition:
i. Solo $70
ii. Duet $100
iii. Small Ensemble (3-5 dancers) $120
iv. Large Ensemble (6-12 dancers) $160
Crowd Pleasers Competition:
i. Solo $75
ii. Duet $100
iii. Trio $115
iv. Small Ensemble (4-6 dancers) $125
v. Medium Ensemble (7-12 dancers) $135
Costume Fees will be due December 14 if you are ordering through Mrs. Gaither. Competition fees will be due January 11. You cannot pay for costume or competition fees until all outstanding payments for camp and practice wear have been taken care of.
After you have reviewed this information and discussed it with your parents and would like to do a solo or ensemble, please sign and return the Solo/Ensemble Commitment Note by Friday, November 16.
