Did you Know?

All absences should be called in to the school office by 10:15 EACH day a student is absent to be considered for an "excused absence." School phone number is 682-867-3800.

If a student leaves early or comes in late to school due to a doctor/dentist appointment, they are required to bring a doctors note to be considered excused.

No make up work can be accepted for unexcused tardies or absences.

All visitors must sign in with the office staff and wear a VISITOR badge while they are in the building for any reason.

Students are considered tardy if they are not in their classrooms by 8:20 each morning. Three tardies are equal to one unexcused absence on the student's absentee record. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOUR CHILD IS AT SCHOOL ON TIME!

All parents/grandparents are welcomed to have lunch with their student. (Please sign in with office before going to the cafeteria)

School is dismissed at 3:20, and parents are expected to pick up their children on time, or make other arrangements for pick up. Students are unattended after 3:35.

Each Thursday students are given a Parent Awareness Weekly packet (PAW) to bring home to their parents. This packet will have all information on upcoming events at South Davis, and will include a monthly calendar with times and dates of parties, ceremonies, deadlines, etc.. Please take a few minutes to read over the PAW packet each week for current information on the happenings at South Davis (this will cut down on many phone calls you will need to make to the school office).

It is imperative that the school office have current home and work numbers for all students. If your home number or work place changes, please notify the school office immediately so the information can be changed on the student's enrollment card. Your child will only be released to persons listed on the back of the white enrollment card in the case of illness or early pick up. It is very unfortunate to have incorrect phone numbers or emergency contact numbers when a child has become ill or injured at school.
