Accelerated Reader
Accelerated reader program is
a reading incentive program designed to motivate the students to read. This year the program will be handled as
it was last year. Points will be
redeemed at the end of each semester. Points will also accumulate for the end
of the year prizes. This year we
will acknowledge those students who make a special effort by placing them into
the following clubs, as well as presenting them with the incentives.
25 Point Club = may check out 3 books, receive set of book charms as a reading incentive, have their name announced during morning announcements and printed in the Knightline.
50 Point Club = may check out 3 books receive set of book charms as a reading incentive, have their name announced during morning announcements and printed in the Knightline.
75 & 100 Point Club = may checkout 3 books receive set of book charms as a reading incentive, have their name announced during morning announcements and printed in the Knightline and be a one time student assistant.
Student will also receive the
opportunity to go shopping at the AR store once at Christmas Break and once at
the end of the year.
Celebrating
the Accelerated Reader:

Top
two students per grade level will receive a gift certificate to a bookstore.

Top
student in K-3 and 4-6 will receive a dictionary.
