It is imperative that our students make every effort to be in attendance 100% of the school days every year at ACHS. All students are required by law to be present for 90% of the days for any course in order to receive credit. If a student fails to attend 90% of the days, he\/she cannot receive credit for the course, regardless if the absences are excused or if they have a passing grade. Refer to the AISD Student Code of Conduct for further details regarding the attendance policy. If an ACHS student is absent from school for 3 or more days in the same calendar school year, they could be removed from the program and would have to attend a traditional high school.<\/p>\r\n
**IF A STUDENT MISSES A BUS OR HAS TRANSPORTATION ISSUES, THEY ARE TO CALL THE ACHS OFFICE AT 817-515-3550 IMMEDIATELY SO OTHER TRANSPORTATION ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE EXPLORED.**<\/p>\r\n
It is imperative that you attend your college classes. One absence, depending on the course and\/or professor, may jeopardize your ability to earn credit. If you are absent for a college class for any reason, your parents cannot excuse your absence.<\/p>\r\n
All ACHS students are required to be in their designated classroom at the scheduled time class is to begin. Tardy policy at ACHS may vary depending on the class and\/or professor. Due to the rigorous and unique requirements at ACHS, excellent attendance and punctuality are priorities.
