First and foremost, I hope you have stayed safe and had a restful summer. We are excited about the upcoming school year. I know none of us back in March could have foreseen where we are today. Many questions still abound as we head into August. I want to assure you that we will communicate information with you as it becomes available. As most of you know by now, we will begin instruction August 17, virtually, through at least September 28. I know that there are differing opinions on this, but at this point we have our direction and will move forward. We are going to do our best to ensure that your child’s academic needs are met. I want to assure you that online learning will be much more robust this fall.
One thing we need is for all returning students and parents to complete, is the Schoolmint registration for your student. The link is attached https://arlingtonisd.schoolmint.net/.
TRADUCCIÓN EN ESPAÑOL DISPONIBLE:
If you would like to receive Dr. Dhalla's weekly messages and other information, go to the link below to sign up. Messages will come via text only so be sure to put the phone number where you want to receive the messages.
As a returning student to Arlington ISD, please make sure to update all of the information in Schoolmint, especially phone numbers; this will be important in the upcoming days and weeks. To finalize Schoolmint registration, please upload a current Proof of Residency.
Acceptable documents for Proof of Residency include:
- A utility bill (water, electric, gas) with the enrolling contact's name and address (no older than 30 days); or,
- A current lease/mortgage with the enrolling contact's name and address.
The district as well as the campus are working on a lot of plans for the online learning that will be happening to start the school as well as what school looks like when we return. I would say the best information to stay up to date would come from the district webpage as well as our own at AHS. I will also send out messages throughout the year. In the past these messages have been weekly, however given our current circumstance there will be times when the messages come more or less frequently, so make sure you are signed up to receive text reminders about new messages. If you received a link to this message via text, you are good to go. If you happened upon this page without a text message, or you know someone who needs to receive text reminders, please use the following link to sign up. https://forms.gle/266iyGQgXuudYeWW7
If you need anything, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at email@example.com
