We had about 140 of our 700 testers on Tuesday that were affected by the online testing outage that was state wide. Our apologies for this, and we’ll be in contact soon on how we will make that test up. On a brighter note it was incredible to see over 700 of our students back in the building at one time, many for the first time all year. I’ve always disliked testing days and the break in the rhythm of the school year, but like so many things, this year is different. Whether PSAT, SAT, or STAAR testing, these days have been wonderful because there are so many more students in the building!!!
Our English II EOC is still slated for tomorrow, April 8. If your student is scheduled to take the English II EOC, please make sure they come to campus tomorrow at 7:15.
Monday, April 12 is a student holiday. All campuses and district offices will be closed.
Return to In-Person Survey
The district sent out an email last week asking students to let us know if they would be returning to campus for the final 6-weeks of school. Many of you said you did not receive that email, so I am attaching the link to that survey below. Please make sure your child has filled it out as soon as possible. Survey Link
Hybrid Ends on Friday
I am very excited to announce that hybrid is ending on Friday. No more A-L or M-Z days!!! Starting on Tuesday, April 13, all in-person students can come every day.
This will increase the number of students in our building on a daily basis, so I thought this would be a good time to share some reminders and new information. Please help share this information with your child.
- Campus Lunch will be open for juniors and seniors. They will need to be temperature screened before re-entering the building.
- We will continue with the one-way hall traffic around the center of the building (where B hall, C hall, D hall, and the tunnel meet).
- We have blue lines in the middle of many hall ways. If you see a blue line on the floor, make sure to be on the right side of the line.
- Make sure you fill out your screener before you come to school, so we can get you processed as soon as possible.
Our teachers have done and continue to do a great job of making sure our campus is safe for students. Currently, numbers are trending in the right direction. I am encouraging students to come back to campus, especially those that are struggling. We can do amazing work with students who are engaged and present on the campus even if it is only for the last 6-weeks of school.
