Hey, COLTS Family,

Serving as an assistant principal at THE Arlington High School is FUN, challenging, rewarding and an incredible responsibility. I feel it is my duty and privilege to bring my best every day to our school. I serve our school with an incredible administrative team and faculty.

This all started when I earned my Bachelors of Science from Stephen F. Austin State University, and began my teaching career. For ten years in the classroom, my students and I learned from each other.

During the last few years of teaching, I attended the University of North Texas in Denton to earn my Masters of Education. For the past several years, I have served as a campus and district administrator.

In 2006, I returned to the University of North Texas in Denton to pursue my Doctorate of Education having earned the degree in 2012.

Outside of school, I am into Dallas Stars ice hockey games, Stars Wars, hot wings, alternative music, sports radio/TV, and my family. My husband and I reared four grown boys who all live their lives around the DFW area.

As my career progresses, I truly believe that at my root I am still a teacher. Even in my current role, I am still teaching and always learning.

Today, I enjoy serving the students, staff and families of AHS. I am a native Texan, yet I will borrow and slightly change a phrase used by those who are not. “I wasn’t born in Colt Country, but I got here as fast as could!” I love our Spirit, Pride and Tradition.

Kick ‘em, COLTS!

PS: Just call me, “Doc.”
