This includes class time, transitions, lunch on campus and restroom breaks.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/capitol.texas.gov\/tlodocs\/89R\/billtext\/pdf\/HB01481I.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Texas House Bill 1481<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is a new state law passed by the Texas Legislature that requires school districts to prohibit students from using personal wireless communication devices during instructional time. Students must complete the Student Parking Google Form. If you are paying online, report to office C205 to receive your parking space and parking decal. What is the dress code?<\/h3>\nSTUDENT DRESS CODE<br \/>A student&#8217;s conduct is related to their clothing. Therefore, the school is directly concerned with students&#8217; clothing. The appropriateness of a<br \/>student&#8217;s clothing for the school environment should dictate the choice of\u00a0clothing and grooming practices on each given day.<br \/>Some campuses have implemented a uniform requirement pursuant to AISD Board policy FNCA (Local). Parents and students should check with the campus to confirm whether uniforms are required. You may obtain a copy of AISD Board policy FNCA(Local) from a campus administrator or review it on the internet at www.aisd.net\/board and click on Board Policy.\n\u00a0\nAll students are expected to adhere to common practices of modesty,<br \/>cleanliness and neatness; to dress in a respectful manner within the acceptable standards of the community and in such a manner as to contribute to the academic atmosphere, not detract from it.\nStudents who fail to comply with this dress code may be sent home and may be subject to corrective actions.\nAny clothing, accessories, symbols, jewelry or other paraphernalia, which depicts or suggests association with a gang, secret society or fraternity, shall not be brought to school, worn at school or in any way be present at any school-sponsored event.<br \/>Any other considerations will be determined by the individual school administrators. The school administration shall have the right to<br \/>consider any current fashion to determine its acceptability for school wear.\nClarification regarding apparel should be obtained prior to wearing it to<br \/>school; this can be obtained from the school administration. Students in violation of this policy will be subject to corrective action as determined by the school&#8217;s administration.<br \/>Teachers are charged with the responsibility of enforcing student dress code in their classes as well as on campus. Administrators and other<br \/>school personnel share the same responsibility. Teachers shall follow building procedure for discipline referral regarding dress code violations.No attempt will be made to dictate fashion styles as long as they are in keeping with district policies. It should be noted, however, that it is the responsibility of the student and parent that the student adhere to the<br \/>dress code, as follows:<br \/><strong>1. General<\/strong><br \/>A. Any clothing, jewelry or accessories with decorations, patches, lettering advertisements, etc. that may be considered obscene or offensive are not to be worn to school. This includes any clothing, jewelry or accessories having criminal street gang identifiers, accessories that may be used as weapons, and<br \/>accessories having drug, sex, tobacco, or alcoholic beverage references or designs.<br \/>B. For junior high students, form fitting garments such as Spandex or leggings may only be worn with another layer of clothing that meets the dress code.<br \/>2. Shirts and Blouses<br \/>A. The display of cleavage is unacceptable. Low cut blouses, tops,<br \/>sweaters, etc. with plunging necklines are not allowed.<br \/>B. Transparent and\/or see-through material is considered<br \/>unacceptable, unless worn over another article of clothing that<br \/>meets dress code.<br \/>C. Shirts\/tops must touch the waist of pants\/skirts at all times (i.e.,<br \/>when in movement, when arms are extended or raised, and<br \/>when in seated position, etc.)<br \/>D. All jerseys must be worn with an undergarment that covers the<br \/>torso and chest area.<br \/>3. Dresses, Skirts, Skorts<br \/>A. The length of a skirt\/dress\/skort must be a minimum of half the distance between the fingertips and the top of the knee when the<br \/>student&#8217;s hand is fully extended down the side of the student&#8217;s leg.<br \/>B. When measuring skirts, dresses or skorts that have slits, the length will be determined by measuring from the top of the slit.<br \/>4. Shorts<br \/>The minimum length of shorts must be no shorter than the tip of the longest finger with student&#8217;s hand fully extended down the side of<br \/>the student&#8217;s leg.<br \/>5. Pants<br \/>A. Torn, cut\/slashed or frayed material that reveals any area of skin or undergarment above the knee is considered<br \/>inappropriate.<br \/>B. No pajama bottoms, sleepwear or lounge wear.<br \/>6. Sagging Pants<br \/>Students shall wear their trousers or overalls properly at the waist.<br \/>No sagging.<br \/>7. Accessories<br \/>A. All students must wear shoes at all times, house shoes and slippers are prohibited. Students participating in physical<br \/>education class shall wear athletic footwear that is closed at the toe and heel and must be laced and\/or\u00a0velcroed. to participate.<br \/>B. Hair should be kept neat, clean and reasonably styled.<br \/>C. Any type of head covering is unacceptable.<br \/>D. Religious and medical exceptions must be cleared by the principal.<br \/>E. Proper undergarments should be worn but not visible.<br \/>F. Chains or spiked jewelry are unacceptable.<br \/>G. Campus Administration will determine the appropriateness of all piercings, gauging, and mouth &#8220;grillz&#8221; for school.<br \/>8.
