The holiday season is here! October can be a really hard month as we are fully into the hard work of school and life without a break. But now we can see the light! It’s time to get ready to end the semester.<\/p>\n
Construction Update<\/strong><\/p>\n We are excited to be at the end of\u00a04 years<\/strong>\u00a0of construction! Right now, furniture is being delivered to our new spaces. We will move in as soon as the final traffic lanes are completed over Winter Break. Students will begin classes in the new spaces on January 8th.<\/p>\n The Cube classes are Orchestra, Band, Theatre, Dance, Piano, and the library. As the weeks go on, we will determine the other classes that will move to the Cube.<\/p>\n We plan to have 2 opportunities to tour the new space. An official Open House will occur with our annual Colt Trail Drive in February and we’ll have a special Alumni event in March. Stay tuned for details!<\/p>\n Yearbook Pictures:<\/strong><\/p>\n 9th, 10th, and 11th Graders will be taking yearbook photos on Monday, 11\/11. Brush your teeth…and maybe take a shower.<\/p>\n t’s always a bit shocking to see how fast the first semester is. I hope these dates are helpful to you as you plan ahead, but don’t stress too much about each event. When you are presented with a bunch of future information, remember my motto:\u00a0Table it until applicable.<\/em>\u00a0It helps a lot.\u00a0I’ll send updates on many of these events as they apply to you.<\/p>\n The holiday season is a time of joy and peace for many, but it can also be sad for others. As we go through these months, the campus staff will work hard to ensure it is a special and safe time for your kids. Please think of others often throughout these next months. And if you are feeling lonely or depressed, come to AHS. Join us for a winter concert or a competition. Surround yourself with the energy of these kids.
