Carol Sivadge

I teach all regular subject areas including Language Arts (reading and writing), Math, Science and Social Studies. I am a team leader for Second Grade, and work with teacher interns as requested by the district/university for Ready Set Teach or for UTA. I have helped develop curriculum in the past by collaborating with the Curriculum departments for each subject area instruction.

I have worked outside the district with the Audubon Society for creation of field study investigations usable for visits when students are attending field trips at Dogwood Canyon or Cedar Ridge Preserve in Cedar Hill, TX. I have been teaching for 30 years and love working with children and developing their knowledge of math and science especially. I have been a finalist for the Arlington School District Aware Award in  2011. I attended college in Oklahoma and completed a triple certificate for Regular Education as well as Special Education with an emphasis in Learning Disabilities and Educable Mental Handicaps, graduating in 1985. I have added additional coursework since graduation from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX.

I am a vocalist for a church worship team, and I am an avid reader and enjoy Bible study and scrapbooking when I have time. My adult children are living in town and away in Houston, and I love them dearly. My husband and I have been married for 32 years and attend church each Sunday. I travel to the Middle East each summer and work to help a summer camp in Petah Tikvah,  Israel for about a month. I travel during the summer to be with my husband and enjoy hiking, sightseeing, walking, the woods, the ocean, and all of nature’s beauty.
