End of 2nd Six Weeks

Report cards were distributed today, November 5th.  You may check your students’ grades in parent self serve.  You may access parent self serve by clicking here.  If you have any questions about your child’s grades please contact the teacher.

PTA Survey

Bailey Junior High PTA is participating in the 2021-23 National PTA School of Excellence program, designed to grow partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being of all students. Please take 5-10 minutes to reflect on your experience at Bailey and complete the survey located online at: (en espanol: ) by Wednesday, November 10th. 

Spelling Bee

The Bailey spelling bee will be held on December 9th at 4:30pm. The bee will last until we have declared a winner!

Your students received information about the spelling bee in their English classes this week. They were given a packet with a list of study words. If they are interested in signing up, they need to fill out the google form. You can find this form here. If you have any questions about the spelling bee, please reach out to Coach Dennehy at

STEM Academy Information

The STEM Academy will be having information meetings to give students and their parents the necessary information to decide if the STEM Academy is a good fit for them.  The meeting dates, locations and times are as follows:

November 11, 2021, at 7:00pm in the Martin High School Auditorium, 4501 West Pleasant Ridge Rd, Arlington, TX 76016

Thanksgiving Baskets and Meals

Thanksgiving Baskets and meals are available through Mission Arlington and will be delivered to your home by Mission Arlington volunteers.  For more information please contact Mission Arlington at 817-277-6620

Credit Recovery

Students who failed a course the first 6 weeks have until November 15 to complete the course in Edgenuity.  If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Burgdorf at

Carson Cares

Bailey Junior High participates yearly in a community service project called “Carson Cares – Season of Giving”. For this project, we are collecting bars of soap, washcloths, and (non-liquid) school supplies. These can be brought in at any time through November 18 to Mrs. Buckles in room 202.

On November 18, from 4:20-6pm, the student body (and parents!) are invited to come to the cafeteria and help pack 500 shoeboxes for children around the world through an organization called Operation Christmas Child. For more information, contact Mrs. Buckles at  

Fall Dance

We will have a fall dance on December 10th from 4:30-6:30pm.  Tickets and parent permission forms will be available after Thanksgiving.  Students who have a suspension or OCS/Choices from November 8th – the day of the dance will not be allowed to attend the school dance.
