Congratulations to Austin Cox, Bailey’s Athlete of the Week!

Austin has been the true leader of our football program this season. Playing the quarterback position at Bailey is not for the faint of heart, and Austin has embraced that responsibility every step of the way. He is a coachable athlete who listens, respects his coaches, and consistently does everything that is asked of him.

One of Austin’s greatest strengths is his leadership. During games, he communicates with the coaching staff, shares what he is seeing on the field, and helps make adjustments to give his team the best opportunity to succeed. His football IQ, maturity, and willingness to lead are exactly the qualities we look for in the quarterback of our football team.

In addition to his leadership, Austin’s skills at the quarterback position are outstanding. He has a strong arm, reads defenses well, and has recently showcased his ability to make plays with his legs, becoming a dangerous dual-threat quarterback. His performance helped lead the Bailey Rams to an impressive 6-2 record during the seventh-grade football season.

We are excited to watch Austin continue to grow as a student-athlete throughout the rest of this school year and look forward to seeing him lead the Rams again during his eighth-grade football season.

Congratulations, Austin Cox, on being named Bailey’s Athlete of the Week! We are proud of you and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
...
