Pre-bid meeting held at Corey Academy

Sept. 10, 2015 - A pre-bid meeting was held yesterday for upcoming renovation projects at Corey Academy of Fine Arts and Dual Language. Most of the work is intended to enhance the fine arts and dual language programming of the brand new academy and address lifecycle and deficiency needs in the Corey Elementary building. Stantec designed the renovations and Pogue is the construction manager in charge of the work. Work is scheduled to begin this fall and last until the summer of 2016.

Subcontractors and suppliers interested in bidding for jobs related to the projects at Corey need to bid directly through the construction manager, Pogue. (Click here to read the bid notice.) Bids are due by 2 p.m. on Sept. 24. Questions are due by Sept. 18, and the last addendum will be issued Sept. 21.

The AISD's other new fine arts and dual language academy, Jones Academy, which is at Roquemore Elementary, will also receive extensive renovations along a similar timeline. The pre-bid meeting for Jones will be held Sept. 16, at 4 p.m., at Roquemore Elementary. Bids are due Sept. 22 by 2 p.m. (Click here to read the bid notice.)
