Pre-proposal site walk held at Duff Elementary

March 29, 2016 - Balfour Beatty Construction held a pre-proposal site walk yesterday for subcontractors interested in bidding for bond-funded construction projects at four elementary schools. The meeting started at Duff Elementary and then visited Bebensee, Fitzgerald and Williams.

A Balfour Beatty estimator started the site walk with a review of the scope, schedule and requirements to bid. The scope includes adding two STEM labs, a strings room and a security vestibule at each school, along with life-cycle and deficiency upgrades, which include roof and MEP work.

Construction will begin in June and wrap up next fall. Construction will be managed by Balfour Beatty, according to plans designed by LBL Architects.
