Board of Trustees names assistant principal for McNutt Elementary

May 6, 2016 – The AISD Board of Trustees yesterday announced Julie Lange as assistant principal for the new McNutt Elementary that is scheduled to open in August 2016.

Lange has been the academic dean at Berry Elementary since 2015. Prior to that, she was on the itinerant dyslexia team in the Burleson ISD from 2009 to 2015, and she was an assistant principal at Mound Elementary in the BISD from 2007 to 2009. Also in the BISD, Lange was a reading specialist and student support services coordinator at Bransom Elementary from 2002 to 2007 and a fourth-grade teacher at Dunn Elementary from 2001 to 2002. Lange taught fourth grade at Gattis Elementary in the Round Rock ISD from 2000 to 2001. She was also a third-grade teacher (1995- 2000) and a first-grade teacher (1991-1995) at Lackland Elementary in the Lackland ISD. Lange started her educational career as a special education teacher at Anthon Elementary in the Uvalde Consolidated ISD for the spring semester in 1991. Lange has a bachelor’s from Texas State University and a master’s from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
